WORLD CLASS II: THE NEXT GENERATION

World Class II was one of the last independent promotions to attempt to run at the Sportatorium.  Despite the name, neither Fritz nor Kevin Von Erich had any connection with the group; it was promoted by Gary Hart (later joined as co-promoter by "Judge" Ray Sowell), with some participation in the very beginning by former WCCW television producer Mickey Grant and announcer Bill Mercer, and featured the late Johnny Valentine as its "commissioner".  Run on a minuscule budget, it had no TV, was sparsely attended and closed its doors after only a few months.  All shows were held at the Sportatorium except as indicated.
